1. Download 'Mobile Uncle Tools' from Play Store.
2. Make sure your Phone is rooted
3. Rename the recovery you want to flash to 'recovery.img' and place it in the root of
your SD card.
4. Select 'Recovery Update' in 'MUT' and select the recovery.img from the list.

1. Enable USB De-bugging from Settings- Developer Options - USB Debugging
2. Download and Extract the Rooting tool in a single folder
3. Make sure the Drivers are installed
4. Right click on the 'Runme.bat' in the rooting tool and click 'Run as Administrator'
5. Connect the device and press '1'
6. Wait for the process to complete

Before proceeding to install a custom rom you need to prepare your sdcard to get high performance..

What type of memory card should i prefer ?

All micro SDHC cards from class 4 to class 10

What to do with memory card ?

You need to create partition on sdcard..

How to partition sdcard ?

First of all you need to backup your sdcard..If not u will lose all previous data... Beecause it will be formatted

Most simplest method is using cwm recovery...

-> Boot into cwm recovery

->Goto advanced>Partition Sdcard

->Now it asks for allocate size for ext3 partition (second partition)

->you choose value 256 mb or greater

->Then it will ask for swap size (third partition)

->choose 128mb (recommended) or above

-> And wait for the message partition is done..

Now its time to install custom rom and enjoy the high performance

Easiest rooting method EVER !!

No need of PC................

To ROOT your MICROMAX is now became simple

1) Go to settings > application > preferred install location > Internal device storage.

2) Install poot.apk in "internal memory" of your Phone. Don't open it. Click on "done" once its installed.

3) Then go to settings > storage > unmount sd card.

4) Go to your phone menu and copy the Poot app to the homescreen of ur mob, then go to ur phone menu and open the poot app then it will require you to install Ministro II, Simply follow the link to Google play store.

5) Then you will be required to update ministro library, please update it.

6) Once you updated the Ministro Library then you will be faced with two options;
1. “Press here to Poot”
2. “Built in root check”

7) Click on the first option which is “Press here to Poot” and after a while, ur phone screen will get black.

Once ur screen got black and u r not able to do anything then remove da battery nd switch on ur mob.

9) While memory card is checking by the phone then hurrily open the poot app which is on the homescreen of your mobile and click on "press here to poot".

10) Then u should get three options will be listed thus;
1. Get Superuser
2. Get root-checker
3. In-built rootchecker

When you see these options it simply means your Micromax has been rooted successfully. Then visit Google Play Store and download Superuser app and Root checker.

you need the drivers installed... and to get the method to clean installl the drivers not the old sdk and drivers.zip method follow this post

[ROOTING]
switch on your internet connect [not needed but preffered]

step 1:
now to assuming you followed the above post and drivers installed download unlockroot and install
make sure usb debugging is enabled in your phone.

go to settings/application/development to enable the debugging

step 2: connect the hone to your pc and run Unlockroot

step 3: click on root button

bingo!! you are rooted.

you can go to market and update your "superuser" app.

[INCREASING RAM AND SAVING PHONE MEMORY]

TO SAVE PHONE MEMORY:
in your phone applications and select preffered install location as SD card.

[TO INCREASE RAM SIZE AND PERFORMANCE]

step 1:

once rooted go to playmarket and download busybox app.... and use the app to install busybox latest version into your phone.

step 2:
download the attachment i gave called speed boost and install the app on your fone.
on your home screen add the speed boost widget.. its like a button and is very handy.
a click of this button frees ur memory ur fone actualli becomes amaxingly responsive with low lags

step3:

[This step may degrade ur memory card life..above two steps will sufficiently free your ram but this technique will give u that extra mb of ram apart from your phone ram using swapping technique]

Download an app called "swapper" from market and install
open the appp and grant the app permission [better to select remember this decision] for then if you have a 4 gb memory card...
select "active swap on boot".
enter the size in the box as 600 mb...make sure u have 1 gb of freespace on your memory card all the time. (if u have 8 gb cards u can use 900 mb too but make sure u have aroung 1 gb of extra free space on card)
click save..

Now itl take some time and you must have patience and wait...do not click anything because it is creating a swap file on your memory card.

once done deselect "active swap on boot".

click save and close the app..
again open the app, grant permission if it asks.

now select "active swap on boot"...it should show a message enabling swap.

NOW YOUR MEMORY CARD WILL BE USED AS 600 mb EXTRA RAM WEN U NEED IT DURING PLAYING HD GAMES WHAT I WILL TELL HOW TO IN NEXT SEGMENT.

[HD GAMING ON A87]

assuming u followed the previous segment till step 3...i.e swaping process....now we proceed to turn the ninja to a gaming device..YES!! all HD gaming u need...

step 1:

Download and install CHAINFIRE 3D pro ....you will get the pro app after the google search just copy the .apk from computer to sd card and then install on your phone.

step 2:

there are 3 zip files inside the drivers.zip file...copy the 3 zip files to your root folder of sd card...

step 3:

open Chainfire 3d and in that select "CF3D driver" and select install driver or search driver....it will automatically search and install drivers

step 4:

to play a HD game.(ex: asphalt 6) install the game and open chainfire 3d.
go to "per-app openGL settings"

scroll the list and find the game (ex: asphalt6) and select it

ul get a menu...with default settings ticked....untick it and

select the following options:

"reduce texture quality"
"reduce texture size"
"disable mapbuffer emu"
"hide CF3D id"

thats it.... you have succesfully turned your MICROMAX A87 NINJA 4.0 to a HD gaming device (with a few lags at time) but hey better than NO GAMING ryt??!!

and you have increased your phone RAM size "virtually"!! and you have increased your phone speed!!!

Remeber after closing games....click on that speed boost widget on your home screen twice or thrice !!

and in the games are crashing....open swapper...disable active swap and save...then again enable active swap and save... click widget twice...

To root Micromax A57 Ninja 3 A new and EASY METHOD. There are some method over the internet that will make you dowload android SDK but this method is the easiest and make it much better for the Noobs as they have to download Android SDK and drivers.The method in which there is no need to download Android SDK and drivers for Micromax A57. In 4 easy major steps accordingly.

1.) First you need to download Unlock Root. download it from here http://www.mediafire.com/?do7378ehnao7p3c

2.) Then download .android from here http://www.mediafire.com/?19is14478nr4g65
Steps to Root Micromax A57 Ninja 3

1.) Extract the .android just downloaded to C:\users\<user name>. For Example C:\users\Mayur. and extract .android folder there.

3) If you are a XP user then extract this .android in C:\Documents and settings\<Your Computer name> Now connect your phone to your PC and make sure that USB debugging is ON. Now go to the folder C:\Users\<Your current user name>\.android. For Window XP users go to C:\Documents and settings\<Your Computer name>\.android.

4)click on Open command window there. A command prompt window will open.If using XP open CMD as administrator and then type below command. cd C:\Documents and settings\<Your Computer name>\.android. Now in the command prompt write adb devices

It will show Micromax A56. Doesn't matter both are similar.

4) Then open Unlock Root and click on the green button yelling “Root”.It might say that your phone is already rooted but don't hesitate over it do it again . Keep Patience and wait till the phone reboots.. Congratulations Your Micromax A57 Ninja 3 is now Rooted

3. A terminal emulator application on the phone or use of an ADB shell

Overview:
1. Get the flash_image binary and recovery image onto your phone
2. Copy or move the flash image binary to your system and make executable
3. Use flash_image to update your recovery environment

1. Download the flash_image binary (not needed if you are running a custom ROM that includes this binary)
2. Download the recovery image you wish to use

You can either directly download the files onto your phone or onto your PC and transfer to your phone. Probably the easiest way to do this is to connect your phone to your computer via USB and mount USB storage, then copy the files to your SD Card. Alternatively you can use ADB Push, bluetooth file transfer or several other methods.

Stage 2: Copy or move the flash image binary to your system and make executable

In terminal emulator:

cd /sdcard (or wherever you downloaded/copied the file)
cp flash_image /system/bin
cd /system/bin

Stage 3: use flash_image to update your recovery environment

1. Download jdk 32bit only from here, Android sdk from here, Unlock root from here, adb_usb.ini from here and A87 drivers from here.
2. Install jdk
3. install Android sdk, after installing open sdk manager form star and select "android sdk platform-tools" and "google usb driver" unselect the rest, click install packages. After installing put the adb_usb.ini file in "C:\Users\(your PC name)\.android"
4. Now on your phone goto settings>applications>development>enable usb debugging and connect usb cable, it should say usb debugging mode and show a little green android icon on the topleft (if not then reinsert cable or re enable usb debugging)
5. Windows will detect the device, let it stabilize then extract A87 drivers to a location say "C:/drivers"
6. Now goto start type "device manger" open device manager, you wil find "android adb interface" right click upgrade drivers and lead it to a location of your extracted drivers, do the same with other devices you get with an exclamation icon. (dont worry if you dont find other devices, its fine)
7. Install Unlock root, open it and click root, it wil ask for the device select micromax A87 and Your done !!!
8. Press Thanks !! Have a nice day !!

Download and extract this zip file: Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17.zip
Enable USB debugging on your Micromax A89 Ninja. (Go to Settings > Developer Options > Check mark “USB Debugging” and then tap OK button.
Now connect your Micromax A89 Ninja to your computer using your USB cable. The drivers should be installed automatically or use official Micromax drivers. (or you could also use Pdanet to install drivers)
Change the mode of your device from USB storage to Media Device and then proceed further. This option appears only when you connect your device to your PC.
Go to the folder named “Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18″ and run the “Runme.bat” file.

Now, you should see a screen popping up on your monitor with words all in green *cue matrix themed music* and it looks a whole lot like CMD.

Choose the Normal mode by typing ‘1‘ and hit Enter from your keyboard.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the A89 Ninja rooting process. Your will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
When your phone is back ON, you should find the superuser SU app in your app drawer. If it’s there, ( whoopee!!! ), your Micromax A89 Ninja has been rooted! But then, if you want to check and be doubly sure, you could download The Root Checker App and check it for yourself.
Note: If you ever want to Unroot your Micromax A89 Ninja, run the runme.bat file again, but this time type “x” instead of 1 and hit enter.
